In my notes I have the following procedure for setting frequency in
the Starlink Radios:
From the transmitter's main menu do the following and make sure the
TX has been on at least 5 minutes.
System
<enter>
Factory Cal
<enter>
Qam Modem
<enter>
OCXO
<enter>
Change "CW" to ON
<enter>
Now that the modulation is turned off, the frequency will read
correctly on a counter, Service Monitor or Letcher Wires. If the TX
is off frequency, then do the following:
Put the cursor up on FREQ ADJ and hit the side arrow key several
times in the direction you need to go. Left to reduce and right to increase.
<enter>
You will have seen a slight change in frequency so keep doing this
until it's as close as you can get it.
Change "CW" to off
<enter>
Escape
Synth Lvl
<enter>
<enter>
Escape
Escape
Escape
Escape
Save Settings "YES"
<enter>
For the receiver:
From the main menu do the following and make sure the RX has been on
at least 5 minutes.
System
<enter>
Factory Cal
<enter>
Qam Modem
<enter>
OCXO
<enter>
Change "MASTER" to "SLAVE"
<enter>
Start hitting the down arrow key several time and see if the FREQ ADJ
number starts moving at all.
If it does, then keep hitting the down button until it settles in on a number.
Change "SLAVE" to "MASTER"
<enter>
Escape
Synth Lvl
<enter>
<enter>
Escape
Escape
Escape
Escape
Save Settings "YES"
Enter>
I hope this is of some help.
