Hi, There is an easy way to put the Starlink into CW mode; Its a setting in the Factory Cal menu I believe. This will allow you to accurately measure the RF output either w/ a Bird Meter or on the internal meter. Its also is a handy way of checking the center freq of the TX signal.

You should also check the freq of the 12.8 MHz Ref Osc at least once a yr for both TX and RX units. Use an ACCURATE Freq Counter set to the slowest gating rate/highest resolution it has. If the Osc is off by even 20 Hz, it can cause decode drop outs and slow lock up times.

I second the thought about measuring the output of the transmitter with a
Bird thru-line meter.  Because the signal isn't a continuous wave carrier
the Bird will read a lower figure than you'd expect--- more like 3/4 watt
forward on the Bird for a displayed figure of maybe 1.25 watts on the
